What engine in a 71 3/4ton 4x4 - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I cannot see the casting number of the block. The numbers on the tab at the front of the engine are C61149415 K03 05 TKB.

My chevy engine chart shows a TKB as a 1976 model sb 350 used for a C10/1500 or a 1979 model used for a C30/3500. Your engine may have been swapped from the original, which was most likely also a 350. Hope this helps. M

Yup, '76, '77 or '79 350.

I thought it was swapped in. I kind od remember that the fellow I bought it from 10+ years ago said he and his dad had rebuilt the engine.
