I got the cab stripped out yesterday and started sanding the inside. I have a few places to spot blast but its pretty clean. I have to go to an out of town wedding this afternoon so that's going to blow this afternoon and tomorrow morning. Hopefully I will be able to paint the inside of the cab the first of next week.

Went parts hunting in a local salvage yard. Don't need anything major, just looking and came home with a power steering pump and auto tranny shift linkage. Checked for tilt columns too. 0 No half decent looking under hood wire harness either.
Going out to the shop now and try to get the new engine ready to crank.

I rolled out frame, bed and cab of my 71 and drove out the Camaro from garage to clean the garage floor.
I also washed the dust off the frame when I got it outside. I had the frame sand blasted and painted a couple of months ago and it had collected some dust.
Trucks body parts are going to the paint shop next week. I just can't wait to have all the body parts painted and finally start to put everything together again.

I am doing a little work on my shop this weekend. Putting in a little bit more insulation and sheetrock. And watching it snow out the window. It's way too early for snow, but it snowed off and on pretty much all day. Didn't really stick, but it would build up to a half inch or so and the melt back off. Great day to let my Panel sit outside all day, but that insulation ain't gonna install itself. (I'd pay extra for the self-installing kind). I got to get my shop done before I start the resto on the Panel. I don't have too much left to do, but I need to find a place to store my boat to free up enough space to tear down the Panel. I guess it'll be in peices for a couple years, unless I hit the lottery.

rebuilt stock carb mounted up, side marker lights replaced, hood re-assembled and allighned, wiring sorted and corrected. amazing how wrong everything was on this truck.

i spent most of saturday replacing my long trucks cracked gas tank with a big square fuel tank in the bed and getting it all plumbed in to find out it has to be regulated after i was told it wouldnt and the blowwing huge clouds of white smoke from the remaining diesel i couldnt pump out.

i get to spend today replacing main and timing seals and finishing the tank install, and i really dont want to.

I finished getting my carpet installed and seat cover changed. The blue one is in perfect shape just wrong color for the colors I'm going with. I think the black hounds tooth compliments the interior well - whatcha think?

Well, I got my shop cleaned and hybridized a lot of my wiring (joining up 2001 F-body wiring with 68 chevy truck wiring )

I'm getting ready to finish bolting up the cab, I guess - and try to get the front end aligned. Wanted to get some welding done today, first time welding but it doesn't look like it's gonna happen - gotta cook dinner soon.

A while back I posted some picks of a new ride I picked up in the spring when I went to have my 67 aligned, a 55 Plymouth Belevedere, 2dr sedan. Over all the car is very solid, I put a few thousand miles on it hitting up most of the cruise nights and a couple of shows (sure was cheaper than driving the truck and as well not having to run premium fuel). It used some oil, and the interior was a little worn out along with the 50 year old paint that was faded to many different shades of tourquoise and a black roof. New colors will be the Dupont, Hot Hues color's Teal Tease and Black.
Well I got the Flathead finally together and installed in the 55 plymouth, lots of wrong parts when putting it together. It is amazing how many flathead 6's their where in Chrysler products. I also rewired the complete car and converted over to 12volt with a 100amp alternator. I am also running an old modified plymouth dizzy with GM electronic ignition. Still can't do a whole lot of tuning right now because this thing is a bit loud with a set of reproduction Fenten exhaust manifolds, over all with a minor bit of tweeking on it and it seems to sound fairly responsive with the duel webbers and Offenhauser Intake and having Mr. Horsepower (Clay Cams) do a regrind on the cam 224 duration @.050, 383 lift and a lobe seperation of 109. When going through the block everything was replaced, bearings, freeze plugs, all valves & guides & punched .040 over, pistons are available to .080 over. About the end of November I should be getting in a finned aluminum cylinder and some finned side covers.
The rest of the car I have completely gutted, with the doors, hood, fenders, trunk lid all at the body shop. All the interior trim & dash have all been painted. I have ripped out all the interior including the headliner, the seats & door panels are at the apolstery shop and I have the new headliner and carpet sitting in boxes ready to go in. I have ran all the wires going to the rear through the front window channel and down the roof line to the rear including the wiring for the 4 channel amp to power the Alpine speakers I have for both the front & rear. All the wiring in the dash has been done and I even used a fan relay setup for my nuetral saftey start switch. While I had the motor out I went through and resealed up the transmision and degreased pretty much everything, Ordered new rear spring kits (4" drop) and front coils (3"drop). All glass is removed and putting in all new window channels & felts & as well as replacing all weather stripping thrughout the car. My body shop guy is supposed to be finishing up on a 69 Nova and mine is scheduled next in. Hopefully this will be pretty much done by mid October with minor tweeking during the winter.

I haven't been around to much on the board because I have been focused on this car pretty much most of the summer. As well as the 67 I have been driving both of them to shows and cruise nights. I have been pulled over many times in the 67 just from guys wanting to check it out oh and once for doing full out burn out, ended up with an excessive noise ticket, even the cop liked the truck.
