I found a gas tank for an 87 that has the fuel pump in the tank. Do you use that too?

The pump may have too much pressure if you are just using a carb. If its just a carb you are using, dont power up the pump. I had done a V8 TBI conversion in a S10 years ago, and got tired ofthe problems I was haveing so I put a carb on top and run it for 2 years without changing the tank.

Yes. That's how mine is set up. Another benefit of the hitch is the added protection to the fuel tank.
