Best Gas tank for under the bed?

I have a MAJOR problem with having gasoline as the back of my seat. True that the tests have shown that it may be in an unsafe place but I'd rather lose my truck in an accident instead of my Son, Wife or myself.

I found a gas tank for an 87 that has the fuel pump in the tank. Do you use that too?

The pump may have too much pressure if you are just using a carb. If its just a carb you are using, dont power up the pump. I had done a V8 TBI conversion in a S10 years ago, and got tired ofthe problems I was haveing so I put a carb on top and run it for 2 years without changing the tank.

WOW thanks for the responses! Is it possible to use or make a hidden hitch and move the gas tank to the back?

Yes. That's how mine is set up. Another benefit of the hitch is the added protection to the fuel tank.
