Springs for the seat

Any one know where I can get some springs for the bottom bench seat?

Thanks,

Re: Springs for the seat

Depends on the type of springs, if coils the upholstery shop may have some, if no sags (strips of zig zag spring wire), You can buy these by the foot at an upholstery supply store. You can also go to a wrecking yard and pull a seat from a 70's vintage anything and get some springs. The big cars like chryslers, buicks or caddies usually had springs. There are some suppliers out there that sell a complete foam replacement with spring stiffeners built in, but they ain't cheap.

Re: Springs for the seat

I bought a roll of zig zag springs online for like $30, used only 1/3 of it and passed it along to another board member...
