charging

71k20 alternater converted to in internal regulator
we put a used alternater i had on it 5 weeks ago.never had a problem till alt went out.and its been fine till thursday.had juice on evrything but would do nothing when trying to start.found the fusible link blowed.replaced with in line fuse holder 30a fuse.been fine till tonight.now it blowed 2 fuses tonight.the charge hand is normal while driving till fuse blows then it pegs the hand allway on charge.
would this be the volt reg sticking.

i did notice whoever converted to internal reg did not do the way i do.
it looks like they just changed plugs on alt and left the old reg pluged up.i think this maybe part of the problem.but weve had truck 6 months and this just started.

it will be properly converted later today.just trying to figure out if i need to replace alt.
thanks
