69 with 52 or 56 inch springs
i want to install 56 inch rear 73 and newer springs on my 69 crewcab. i have seen the 73 and newer 52 inch rear springs on the front of the 73 and newer trucks. but i know i will get a better ride with longer springs. and the 73 and newer spring hangers are not the same as the 72 and older. anybody done this swap yet.

Re: 69 with 52 or 56 inch springs
use the 63 inch springs from th 88-98 chevy trucks. you will have to move the spring hangers either way.

Re: 69 with 52 or 56 inch springs
67-72 front springs are 44" long, 73+ are 48". the 52" springs are goint to push your hanger out to the very end of your frame rails just to keep the wheels centerd in the wheel well.
the 56" rears are a huge improvement, especialy if you flip the overload over. |

Re: 69 with 52 or 56 inch springs
both, he has 52" in the rear now, he wants to put them in front[its very common swap on 73+] and the longer 56" stock springs in back
