best place to get coils
like it says where is the best place to get coil srpings for the front and back of a 71 c-10 longbed. i was going to sell my truck then changed my mind and going to replace the coils and shocks and get a better ride out of the truck i am also ordering a center force dual friction clutch kit for it i tried these cheap clucths from parts stores here and they dont last long

What look are you going for exactly, if you are just wanting stock you should be able to get everything at your local NAPA or other auto parts store. If you are wanting it lowered check out some of the board vendors.

i've gotten springs from jcwhitney and they were very good and lots less than buying local even with paying shipping

napa can get hd rear springs for 107 buxs a set and 98 buxs for the hd front coils advance auto has the rancho shocks for 47 a piece think this is the way i am going to go

Springs in general have very good fatigue life and will continue to function almost as good as fresh off the assembly line for well beyond what anyone would consider their useful life (I am talking in the hundreds of thousands of miles here). Replacing a solid spring with a new one will have absolutely no affect on your ride quality. Give them a good painting and you will never know the difference. If any of those conditions do apply, then definately replace your springs. Otherwise, replace your shocks and your ride quality will be as good as it ever was. And oh what a difference the shocks will make. |

when you start off the truck will dip to the right like i got bad springs they are rusted pretty good too

Here is some info that I had written down, might help you out:
Front Springs, MOOG, MOG-6082, Standard Duty 1/2Ton Rear Springs, TRW, TRW-CC603, Coil springs, rear, variable rate, Hef-T-Coil, TRW. and yes, HD or heavy duty springs will ride rough
