Re: rear sport bumper

If your using repro brackets they don't fit very well , imo . The bumper seems like it sticks out too far at the bottom , when viewed from the side. I'm fiddling with mine tonite also , but it may require slotting the bolt hole , not sure yet.

Re: rear sport bumper

Here is mine, it's on a 68 SWB K-10 but I used the 2WD brackets.

Re: rear sport bumper

See my post in the above link... it is supposed to be installed at an angle. I have no idea why, but it threw me off too when I was installing mine (if you try to put them on "straight" (parallel with the frame) they will hit the bottom of the bed.

Re: rear sport bumper

Be sure to check you brackets ( especially aftermarket ) for high spots where they meet the bumper. If they have high spots they will push dents in your bumper when you tighten the bolts and ruin your day.

Where were you when I did that to my bumper

Seriously, my new bumper has one small dimple below the bolt on the driver side. I'm not too upset about it, but it does suck. You can only see it up close... but still! Ah, well, my trucks just a driver anyways....
