Seen these mirrors before?
I'm wondering what anyone can tell me about these mirrors on my truck. Were these a factory option, or perhaps dealer installed?? I'm trying to figure out if I want to paint and keep them or go with something different.

Re: Seen these mirrors before?
Those are the West Coast Senior mirrors. Sometimes they were a factory option (I have West Coast Jrs listed on my glovebox SPID sticker) or they were installed by the dealer, or later as aftermarket by someone wanting to tow trailers. They would look great re-powder coated white. Yours look like swing-away-types. After '69 with the Blazers having no upper window frame, they went with mirrors mounted from the bottom. The earlier ['67-'68] West Coast mirrors mounted at the top of the door frame and below the window. Earlier than that [pre-'67] they weren't swing-away -- if you hit a branch, you broke the mirror.

Re: Seen these mirrors before?
Most mirrrors back then were dealer installed on cars and trucks. Some people wanted mirrors on the doors and some wanted them on the fenders on cars. Some people just didn't want a passenger side mirror at all. This was back before they started package type options. My son has a 67 with similiar mirrors on it.

Re: Seen these mirrors before?
I did pay. Just wish somebody had a pic of the mirrors so I knew what to look for.
