What's it worth: 71 Jimmy 4x4

I'm thinking about selling the 71 Jimmy I bought nearly two years ago and want to know what it's worth.

It is currently unrestored and needs the outer/inner rockers redone, kicks and rocker boxes. the front fenders are marginal at best, the rears have scratches but are otherwise solid. Tailgate is great. The cap is a double wall top and is usuable, but not very good. Doors have been replaced and are good. Windshield frame looks good. Needs a new windshield, but I have a used replacement. All other glass is good. Warn front bumper. Have a roll cage to go with it that was never installed. Has a 6" spring lift with 35" tires.

In good running order, with a 350 with aftermarket HEI, headers and an edelbrock carb. Dual exhaust. Th350 which works well, but has a slow leak. 4wd works well.

I'd like to get $3500CAD (aprox $2800US) for it but wanted to know if that's reasonable.

I would think around 2300$ US, cause of the fenders. I paid 35$ for mine, and it had no rust when I got it.

$35 Now that's a deal! I figure I could spend another $1500 to bring it up to a nice driver quality truck, but it's probably not worth it if I'm just going to sell it.

Any other opinions? I can get some more pics if it helps, that one was from last winter.

Re: What's it worth: 71 Jimmy 4x4

when people are looking for a truck blazer/jimmy I think alot of the value comes from how complete the vehicle is, does everything work, is it all there? Rusty body pannels take some value away but that is to be expected. Good luck I wished I could buy it up.

Yeah, completeness wise it's a mechanically complete vehicle, but most of the interior is gone (no panels, carpet), the front seats aren't original and there's no rear seat.

I suppose I'll post it here if I don't hear anymore price thoughts and then ebay it.

A few years ago I just about bought a 72 K5 any pretty similar for $2,500. The rust scared me away. I don't think your asking price is out of line - it's not everyday you see a 69-72 K5 for sale but of course you do need the right buyer.

Seems like your in the right ball park.
I'd say, $1,500.00 to $2,500.00 depending on the extent of the rust.

Having no real interior will make it harder to sell IMO.

Thanks Guys, I'm still not sure I want to sell it, I'll post it first here in any case.
