Brothers vs LMC
I am getting ready to make a sizable order and would appreciate any information that you could give me on quality, customer service, integrety, etc..... There might even be somewhere else that you could recomend. Also curious about GM vs reproduction. As far as fit, quality and would it make the truck more valuable. I am going to order a very wide variety of parts.
Thank you, Tesas Mark |

Re: Brothers vs LMC
Go with Brothers!! There service is first class and they have knowledgable people that will help you in any way they can. Plus several of Brothers parts are made right here in the USA, which means something to me. Just my .02...Randy

GMC Pauls. Use GM parts if you can afford it.

Re: Brothers vs LMC
Brothers Definately. Just got some parts from them last week, like the new bumpers which are on sale, 72 arm rests etc. Looks just like originals and made here in the U.S.A.

Re: Brothers vs LMC
The only drawback I see with Brothers is Ca. sales tax. You may want to see if any vendors here on the board drop ship from Brothers.

Re: Brothers vs LMC
There are lots of other vendors on the board too. Anyone of these is preferred over LMC. The staff at Brothers is knowledgeable and into trucks. LMC has order takers. LMC's biggest asset is their nice catalogs. If you are looking strictly based on price, the Truck Shop has great prices.

Re: Brothers vs LMC
Brothers, hands down. Exceptional service. If you can place the order through GMCPauls, though, I am a huge fan of their service as well.

Re: Brothers vs LMC
with Frank. Went to truck shop too that same day that i went to brothers and their prices were cheaper but their parts really suck!!!! I compared many brothers parts with truck shop like the arm rests, bumpers, and so on and truck shop parts are nothing but crap materials. Plus, all you hear from the staff when ask them a question is, I DONT KNOW MAN. Go Brothers.

Re: Brothers vs LMC
When quality matters I'll go to Brothers, LMC gets my vote for fasteners and small things that, IMHO, Brothers overcharges for. $2 for a headlight bezel screw?? Haven't tried GMCPaul's but probably will next time...

Re: Brothers vs LMC
Just by looking around I have decided that I will buy from Brothers when I need my parts. Has anyone heard anything about American Classic (www.americanclassic.com)?

I found Brothers a bit more expensive than Chevyduty. Give them a call.

Re: Brothers vs LMC
Not to be the odd man out but Brothers took 4 weeks to get me a simple drop kit that they said they had "in stock" when I called to order it.
Initially was told 5 days to my door. 10 days later, I was told "the complete order came in today - we'll ship it out today". WTF? It was in stock 10 days ago. 8 days later, I call and it was sitting there waiting to ship. The worst thing a vendor can do to me is lie about something. Either you have it or you don't. If you tell me 5 days until I get it, I am counting on 7. 8 days from now I need those parts or you have slowed me down. Time is money. They lost my door, core support, front fender order because of it. Goodmark was at my door 4 day after ordering. I may try them for the wood bed kit though. I dig the picture that they have in the catalog alot!!!! |

Re: Brothers vs LMC
I like Tim Christians stuff to, I've always had to go with the repo stuff because of the price difference. I also agree that lmc has the best magazine and have ordered some stuff from them over the years, but I'd probably stick with brothers or one of the site venders.
