Anyone have this electrical problem?
Ok... I hate electrical problems as much as the next guy.
Just wondering if anyone has had this problem. I had noticed a discharge on my amp meter recently. While out driving I lost power to my radio. Made me think... Hmmm... this is a really old radio anyway, so I replaced my 80-ish cassette radio with a new CD player. I played it for about 1/2 hour (not on ACC.) No problems. Started the truck and within about a minute the fuse panel got really hot and I smoked a wire. Not even the radio wire. Could a voltage regulator cause this? It had a slight discharge at idle but came up close to normal at operating RPM.
