Show and tell me your custom dome lights
My 70K5 don't have any and I hate when I have to get into it at night I cannot see anything. I am thinking of retrofitting some door pins and some dome lights inside and was just wondering what some of you have done.
Thanks

Re: Show and tell me your custom dome lights
Mine has the FACTORY COURTESY lights under the dash, but the only
dome lights are the ones in my SINGLE WALL top, don't have pic's

Re: Show and tell me your custom dome lights
I was thinking about running LED light strips along the bed rails of my '69 because it didn't have any interior lighting either. I was going to hook them up with door pins as well. My '72 has the dome lights in the top so I don't need to worry about it much anymore.

Yes, try and find some courtesy lights that mount under the dash.

Re: Show and tell me your custom dome lights
I see Manes Truck parts have a courtesy light harness for like $22.00 and door pins for $6 ea. I was thinking of that. I may do my own thing though like mount a 70ies camaro dome/map light along with something that lights the back area also.

Re: Show and tell me your custom dome lights
Once upon a time, I saw a 67-72 rear view mirror on ebay with maplights in it. It was very cool and went for a small fortune. You could find a late model convertable with lights in the mirror (I know 94 mustangs had them.)

Re: Show and tell me your custom dome lights
i actually have a rearview i pulled out of a late model buick (standard gm rearview with dual map lights.) it worked very well when i had it installed, and i really liked the map/dome light functionality. wife was unhappy with it because it wasn't factory. i think i picked it up for a couple bucks at a wrecking yard.

Re: Show and tell me your custom dome lights
I have a '91 GMC Sonoma that has 2 map lights in the rear view mirror, 2 switches. Glues to the windshield and a wire goes up under the headliner. Should be some of them in the junkyard you would think?

Re: Show and tell me your custom dome lights
Haven't done it yet but I have to replace the rockers and kick panel etc in my 70. I am going to install door jamb pins plus under dash courtesy lights. When I do the drivers side I am going to run wire down through the kick panel route it between the inner and outer rockers which will come in the area behind my rear panels. 2 71 Pick up dome light with leds tied together and the wires mounted to a plug like the single walls. My wife likes to drive it with our 3 small kids so lights at night is critical

One on each side--c' lights under dash-pins in doors and works off light switch also.
