My Hotwheels Stepsides.

So....I'm still a kid. I made this yellow one 4 years ago....BEFORE I bought the real thing. There's also some more pics of of SNB trucks. Most are still projects, but YES these are hot wheels, and YES I'm still six, and yes I love hot wheels. Thought I'd share.

Re: My Hotwheels Stepsides.

As a Hot Wheels collector myself, i really like those. I have several of the chevy stepsides HW's. Every time tey come out with a new color or even change the wheels, I buy it.
Very fun, cheap hobby.

Re: My Hotwheels Stepsides.

Man I have been a collector now for 20 years worth of them. My wife hates those things, but I love everyone of them. I did these up this summer.
I have all kinds of them.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

You can still get them very seldomy. jadatoys.com are the folks that make them...I think there's only like 4 different ones. Here's some pics...

They are now making the square body trucks, 81-87:

Re: My Hotwheels Stepsides.

There are two more of the jada one. A yellow and white 2 tone a a black one with flames.

Heres one made by Marx. I also have a small plastic one and have no idea who made it. I found it at an antique shop.

Then there is the Bell Systems one from Ertl. Unique, it has a GMC grill and a Chevrolet tailgate.

i have some of the bigger jada 72 cheyenne trucks from the dub series i think they are 1/24 scale they are slammed when you get them but i figured out you could take them apart and raise it up some or slam it in the front and raise it in the back for a raked look guess i'll have to take some pictures of mine

Re: My Hotwheels Stepsides.

Here is a couple of my 1/24 Dub City trucks by Jada modified by ACF. This first one is my best one I think.
The bed is made out of bossawood and I used the side trim for the bed rails on it. I hand made the simulators on it to to match my real truck.

This is my everyday driver. I have had it since 1986 and put the TPI in it in 1987.I have the LED's brake lights also.

This is a diecast and plastic model put together to make the step side bed. The diecast bed is the trailer. Hand made the surf-boards out of real wood.

These pictures where taken as I was working on it, and I haven't taken anymore of it since I got done with it. How do you like those meats under there!

The panel isn't a Jada.
