Is 91 Suburban 5.7 have TPI or TBI or...? + LT-1 question

Anyone know off hand what type of fuel system is stock on a 91 4x4 3/4T Suburban?
there is one up for auction but I don't want to drive across the state unless it
has a TPI. Also, I have heard that 94-95 Caprice police cars have LT-1's. Can
anyone confirm this? Do they all have the LT-1?
thanks,
Steve

I am 99% certain that 91 burb has TBI. It's a very reliable setup if that's what you're worried about. I don't THINK (M)PFI was standard until 96 with the Vortec setup. Anyone for sure on this one?

I am 99% certain that all the 9C1s of those years (and 96 too) have the LT1. www.9c1.com has great info and all you could want, I bet

FI MOTORS

the 91' BURB WILL HAVE A TBI MOTOR IN IT. THE PORT FUEL INJECTION (TPI) WAS ONLY AVAILABLE IN CARS (F-CAR AND Y-CAR)(88-92,91-VETTE) THE CAPRICES WERE TBI TILL 94' WHEN THE LT-1'S WERE PHASED IN. BUT BE CAREFUL THERE ARE TWO MOTORS FOR THE 94-96 CAPRICES A 4.3 200HP V-8 AND THE 5.7 260HP V-8 (BOTH ARE IRON HEADED MOTORS THE 5.7'S HAD FULL DUAL EXHAUST, THE 4.3 HAD SINGLE OUTLET. THE COP AND FLEET MOTORS HAD ELECTRIC COOLING FANS, THE PASS CARS HAD ENGINE DRIVEN FANS.

If you are going to pursue a FI motor, be sure and get everthing you can out of the donor vehicle...computer, wiring harness, Diagnostics port, radiator, electric fans, all sensors, etc. I got most of this stuff out of a 94 camaro, and the radiator and condensing coils fit pretty darn nicely...only minor modifications. The cooling hoses fit pretty well too. Fans hang off the back of the radiator on brackets.
