Attn classic car lovers
I was watching a little TV before I went to bed and a show I have never seen before came on. It is called FASTLANE. Now don't get me wrong I like the occasional destruction of a 4 wheeled contraption but while ago I got so pi$$ed! Not 5 minutes into this show they blew up a 69-70? Nova SS and a nice 69 charger. These cars looked to be in good shape even bada$$ (hot rod)if you will. I just had to vent. I hate the mindless destruction of classic vehicles especially ones that are highly desireable to people who love muscle cars of that era. You will never catch me watchin that show again. I'd give my left one to have half the chevelles, camaros, novas, cudas, chargers, challengers, etc. that people around town here drive into the ground and then take them out in a field or woods and finish them off. Guess I was born 30+ years too late, huh. Sorry so long just had to get that off my chest. GRRRRRRRRRRR!

Whenever I watch a movie with my wife and something like that happens, (like thelma and louise driving the T-Bird off the cliff) I always say outloud "NO!!!!". "That was a 64 Tbird!!!, Those BASTA%#$ they just blew up a great car.
She always looks at me and says '"you just can't enjoy the movie without worrying about cars and trucks getting killed". THAT'S ABOUT RIGHT HONEY. THAT'S ABOUT RIGHT... Brian

Oh man does that ever piss me off. Someone put a lot of time into the vehicle and someone obviously loved it. And for some production company to ujust buy it and blow it up sickens me. I work my a.ss off to have good vehicle and when i see this it just PISSES ME OFF!. Cars are not a renewable resource we have lost enough to crushers already. I SAY STOP THE DESTRUCTION!! We should some how start up a club or something to stop this because I believ this must be stopped. WE ARE DESTROYING OUR OWN HISTORY. As you can see i feel very strong abou this situation ever since i saw a blue 1970 chevelle ss454 with white stripes (my absolute dream car) get blown up and smashed THAT MADE ME SOOO ANGRY

Who could forget Falfa's 55 Chevy in American Grafitti (sp?). Or the fastback mustangs in gone in 60 seconds and bullit. If I remember right they killed a nice 67 or 68 camaro in Christine. At least they used the 55 for a couple movies before they killed it (remember two lane blacktop?)
It is a shame Later,

most of the cars used for crash scenes and to blow are POS cars from a junkyard that are made to look nice I used prep alot of cars for movies you wouldn't believe some of the GARBAGE cars come in and go out lookin like they would win best of show most of them are all burnt up with no guts left so dont get too mad when you see a nice ride gettin toasted cos you most likely see that very same car get blown up again LMAO

The 55 is still alive and well. So is the yellow coupe. They did destroy 2 other '55's though and one was a 4 door for the roll over scene at the end of American Grafitti. There's a website somewhere that tells all. Even mentions who owns the cars today.
