Dash Pad
I did a quick search, but didn't find much...
Is there a company that makes a dash pad that covers the entire top of the dash? My truck didn't have a pad when i bought it, and as far as i can tell, the factory pad only covers the front section. I've seen the one at Brothers, but I don't need the gauge pods it has molded in.

Re: Dash Pad
Thats the first one I have ever seen that covers the whole dash. Pretty cool. Yah all the originals just cover the edge of the front but I do like the idea. I agree one without the gauge pods would be awesome.

Re: Dash Pad
one thing to point out, if you were to get one that covers the whole top, You'd have wicked glare and reflections in the windshield.

Re: Dash Pad
I had the guy that recovered my seat cover my dash pad and the metal between the pad and windshield. Only problem was that it covered over the dash speaker which wasn't a problem. I mounted the speakers else where. The guy just cut a piece of heavy card board to fit and covered it with vinyl. I like the look...it's easy to keep clean and no problem with glare.

Re: Dash Pad
Have you got one of the tripod dash pads in your truck, is that how you know they have glare and bad reflections. I want to get one of those for my truck and after hearing the glare and reflection comments from a few members on here, I'm having second thoughts..

Re: Dash Pad
i mention glare, becouse the STOCK one is a constant reflection in my windshield, and the factory painted the top of the dash in flat paint instead of gloss, to reduce the glair.
No, I would never run one of those dash pads in my rig, IMO, they are fuglier than the new bed on an old truck. |

Re: Dash Pad
When I got my truck it had one of these in it...I left it there so far.
I am going to buy another...because there is absolutely no glare. http://www.global-accessories.com/dashmat/index.html Tim
