Media/Sand Blasting
Looking for someone Semi-local to me to do a front clip & more later if the price is right. Parts are removed ready for the job. I am 40 + miles South of the Gateway. ( St. Louis ) What's a reasonable price to pay? I have checked the yellow pages but see nothing listed under media blasting. Also found 40-60 gallon blasters @ Northern Tool & Harbor Freight. But will they do a decent job to spend $150-$250 on? Say maybe spreading a tarp in the corner of the garage to trap the excess? Any advise appreciated..

Re: Media/Sand Blasting
i've had my sandblaster for over 20 years and have saved many thousands of dollars// dont plan on blasting inside the garage its far too difficult to clean up afterwards/ use skin eye and lung protection it is very important for your long term health// have a BIGGG compressor to blast effectively//i set up a 3sided pltwood box enclouse on my concrete driveway(cleans driveway too) to minimize scattering the sand and to also recycle it to keep cost down, alyays screen it when recycling// if you have a bunch of stuff to do always have stuff in back of what your primary target is as that stuff will get blasted by the stuff that bounces off your primary target// the thinner the piece your blasting the lower the pressure should be and blast at an angle not straight into the piece to prevent damage

Look under sandblasting in the yellow pages or go here: http://www.anywho.com/ Choose "Buisness Catagory", type in sandblasting, type in Saint Louis, and choose MO as the state. Click "Search".... LockDoc
