auto column help
converted 72 over to auto on column.everything is correct for the 72.it changes real smooth except pullin from park to rev or netural to rev/park you almost have to force it.you can go from
n/d/l2/l1 and back to neutral real easy just not to rev/park.please help

I made the same switch about a year ago and since then I've had the same problem. If it is a detent to get into and out of Park it sure is a good one.

I've never seen one shift smoothly from park.
On the Longhorn, I removed the colar from the column, and coated it with anti-seize after a real good cleaning. Id still don't feel 'right', but you don't feel like the shifter wil pop off and bust you knee cap anymore. |

Mine was converted to an auto column by the PMO (Previous Moron Owner), and it's extremely easy to move through the gears. Then again, it doesn't lock into park extremely hard either...so maybe he left something out when he put the column in.

Well, you could always do the the PMO of my truck did to make it shift in and out of park easier......shove a piece of # 9 wire behind the tab so it can't fall into place.....I took the wire out now it shifts in and out of park hard.
