Has anyone used tow hooks from non-67-72 trucks?

Thanks.

I can't answer your question, but here is a photo of a tow hook on my 72 that may help someone else answer your question.

The difference between the '73-'80 GM tow hooks and the '81-'87ish is that the earlier ones are much beafier. I've seen the '73-'80 tow hooks on our trucks, but they get too close to the spring perch/spring IMO (there isn't enough room to slip a rope on anymore). I like MStokes' solution, but would add one of those little sheet metal springy clips to keep things from slipping off the hook.
