It Followed me home, Can I Keep It?

Well it didn't actually follow me home it brought me home. Our assistant principal bought it from our janitor 2 years ago just to use around the house to haul garbage, mulch and such then realized it was beyond him to keep it up so it sat in his back yard. He had ask me last year about doing a couple of things but we never got around to it. So a few weeks ago I ask him if he still wanted to do the repairs and he said he had decided to give it to a charity for the tax reciept and I ask him how much he expected to get and he said "Oh, maybe a couple of hundred" to which I replied, "Would you take that for it cash?". After a conversation with his wife we agreed on $300 and it now sits in front of my shop.
71 350 (originally 2 bbl), 3 spd (muncie) PB, factory in bed spare carrier super heavy duty leaf overloads on the trailing arms, nearly new duals with flowmasters.
At some point I will be parting it out using the front end and left bedside on my dually project and other pieces here and there.
When I am ready, I will post what's for sale in the parts thread.

Cool, because I need some parts! Id just drive it if I were you. If/when you decide to part it get ahold of me, I see a few things I could use. ...

That is the plan, I now have just about everything I need to start my 1 ton dually project, except time.

Re: It Followed me home, Can I Keep It?

Now Woody, you know how your father feels about stray trucks. Well, I suppose if you eat all your veggies, get good grades in school, and clean up if it pees/poops in the house, then I guess we can think about letting you keep it

LOLOL

Real sweet deal, dude! Some guys have all the luck.

Re: It Followed me home, Can I Keep It?

Nice find!! Hmm, I've yet to see a factory 2V 350 on a 69-72 truck. I always thought a 2V carb was 307 and 4V was 350. Sure, full size, Chevelles, etc had a 2V 350, but I never saw it on a truck from factory. Am I wrong?
