Re: Stock truck color pics

Here's my K10 with a similar colored 69/70 C20, it may be a lighter green than you have in mind. The code is 4503AA for mine.

Re: Stock truck color pics

My truck is a stock color. GM calls it "medium metallic green". DuPont calls it "medium metallic green". However PPG calls it "blue/green poly". It is a stock 1970 GM truck color.

I'd call it green.

Next to it is my 1971 Malibu convertible. That color is "mulsanne blue".

I'd call it blue.

I hope this helps.

Re: Stock truck color pics

I thought this was a cool website. It has all the PPG paint chips from year and make of vehicle.

This link takes you to Chevy truck paint just click on the year you want.

I checked my hard drive and I realize I don't have any real great pictures. Here are the best two. I obviously still have work to do on the box.

I'm sure others have pictures of whole trucks painted this color.

In case you wonder what medium metallic green looks like with many years of fade compared to fresh paint...

Re: Stock truck color pics

hey reagenrat, The first 2 pics look a lot like the 503 green to me, but your picture of truck is definetly blue..
The color code I am using was given to me by members here and it is as the first pair of trucks is.
This color is the one that is on the C10 custom in classic trucks mag this month they call Gumby Green.

The "Gumby" color is 503 GM Green by Valspar and PPG
