What size gears in a 69 suburban?
Ok what size gears normally came in a 69 suburban? Mine is a 350 with a 4 speed and a 12 bolt. Just wondering what my rearend might have.

Some of the GM posi-traction rear ends have a tag bolted on the right side (if someone didn't remove it)..... forward of the diff cover. It's about 3/4" wide and about 2 inches long with the info on it. 3:73's and 3:08's were pretty common, but there were others also. Check for a tag, it'll have info on it.

Also look on top the passenger side axle tube for a stamping. It will be letters and numbers. Then post it here and someone will look it up for you.

if its 350 and 465 originally and says nothing els eon SPID label then its 3.07 gears
4.11 is optional and would be on SPID label and for that drivetrain 3.783 is optional also good luck |
