Re: vacuum hose on stock 4bb???

I'm running into the same questions with the 350/4bbl on my 71' Cheyenne. I had the post that the previous fellow sent you to for diagrams. They didn't work for me, but were appreciated I have been going on eBay and looking at the engine photos of trucks that are selling for reference and to compare. I wish I could help you because I'm scratching my head too. I can't believe that there isn't a reference somewhere showing a stock schematic for our truck. But I sure can't find one, and I've looked.

Right now I have 2 ports on my carb and both ports on the solenoid on my carb blocked off and know they shouldn't be. I just know I have to block them off because I don't know what goes into them! Something had to. They didn't put them there to block off! Good luck and let me know what you find out.

Re: vacuum hose on stock 4bb???

I don't have a picture now, but I will snap one when I go back to work on it next Tuesday the 26th. I think it's a solenoid of some sort on my carb? It has a decal on it stating something like, "do not use to adjust idle". Is this what you are talking about being involved with idle speed and the a/c? If so, it has 2 ports that are blocked off. It runs fine, but the a/c is not working either.
