How to hide my exhuast pipes

How do I tuck my exhaust up from being seen on my 71 C10 long bed I was goint to use one of these

THE ORIGINAL
EXTREME DROP CENTER CROSSMEMBER

But after alittle research they are not supposed to be used on long beds do to the carrier bearing. Does anyone have any ideas they can share. Thanks

Just notch out your stock one and brace it abit. I did this to mine but it is way over braced in hopes of alot of traction and a big motor some day This works for 3" pipe and does not touch the ground when dumped.

Kevin do you have any pics of the rear? How are you going to ge the exhaust over the rear end? I want to run my exhaust all the way out the back, but I don't think I'll have clearance with the bags all the way down. I was thinking about running them outside the frame.

Yowsers, them pipes will be low, gonna be tuff to get em over the axle
with bags, do to the travel of things up and down that move, maybe it
is time to consider side exit? in front of the rear wheals, or turn downs.

Re: How to hide my exhuast pipes

I cut some 4" holes in the cross-member and welded some 4" SCH 40 pipe in the holes. I cut a 45 on the pipes ahead of time, and welded a plate to the end of the pipe and ran a plate to the side-rail. You can get a way with a smaller support to the side-rail, if you place it behind the cross-member, because it will be in tension. You will need more support on the front side like the photo above, because it will be in compression. Don't forget to leave a hole for fuel and brake lines. See attachment.
