FYI, suburban tailgate emblem
While out junkin' the other day i noticed a couple of old chevy vans with the tailgate "chevrolet" emblem. I figured wtih gm being like they are, probably the same as a suburban. (which most of you know are not easy to find in one piece.) Any how, i bought them, brought them home and they are different. The one in the top of the pics is a suburban, the lower is van. The burb has 4 mounting points and the van only 3. I would think if you put the van one on your burb, nobody would probably notice. Just thought i would share. Eric

Re: FYI, suburban tailgate emblem
I think Wes or one of the board members is reproducing them for the Suburbans now.

Re: FYI, suburban tailgate emblem
You want to find the older chevy vans (the smaller rounder styles) 1967 and earlier will have the same mountings as our burbs....

Re: FYI, suburban tailgate emblem
John Fabris is right!!!
The older style Chevy vans from the late 60s till 1970 not only have the same " CHEVROLET " emblem as the 67-72 Suburbans, but they also use the same tail light and side marker lens as the fleetside truck and the reverse light lens from the Burb/panel. One other truck from the same time frame that used the same CHEVROLET tail gate emblem as the 67-72 Burb/Panel is the medium duty tilt cab, it had one on each side.
