There's a bunch of pictures in the suspension forum. You can see everything because you have to take the inner fenders out anyway.

To lay frame you have to trim the inside of the fenders.I know Tim Christians son has bags on his and the tires hit the inside of the fenders where they come down and make the ledge for the hood.To get any lower he will(maybe has) have to trim this area.I don't remember what tires/wheels he's running but I think they are 20's.I do know the truck wouldn't lay frame.

67Fleet has 20's and his wheels hit when dumped, he's far from laying frame too.

Re: Need underhood pics of laying body on 22's

I have looked in the forums and have seen quite a few bagged, just not the pic Id like to see... looking for a straight under hood shot of it layed out.. so I can see how high the tires sit.. my main concern is just that.. how the hood has that ledge on to sit on the fender.. but I want the biggest tires possible for the most protection

Re: Need underhood pics of laying body on 22's

If you look at the shots of Dino's '63, his truck is running 20x8.5 with 255 35's up front (the rears are 22's). You can see how close it is to the top of the fender with a drop member. I'm not sure if it would be possible without a lot of work to lay out with something as huge as a 22 up front.

But if you have the cash and the skills (or access to someone with the skills), anything is possible.

this is as close as I got to have what you are asking for. This was from the Goodguy Nats. at Lowe's motor speedway.

ha, the plug wires are smashed into the firewall. but i would still drive the wheels off it. so those are newer silverado hinges? it would be alot less work than a forward tilt hood.
