Re: camel hump heads

buy them, and put them on e-bay, some one who thinks they are still good heads will pay stupid money for them, and you can roll that money over into a set of heads worth useing.

Re: camel hump heads

The only double humps with accessory bolt holes are the 186 castings and 292 castings. Either will bring $6-700 on ebay on any given day, which will net you a great set of modern heads. The 186 heads are being bought by the '69 Z-28 guys, and readily pay that for junk heads.

Re: camel hump heads

Yeah, I'd cough twice and pass. Nice for restoration, and they aren't a bad head...but not what I'd start a build with considering the price and capabilities of modern heads!

Re: camel hump heads

There was a day when they were the good heads but not anymore. Like stated earlier, only the resto guys want them now. Vortec heads are the hot ticket now.

There are several rebuilders online and in the back of the car magazines that will build a decent set of GEN I heads for about that price.
