Does anyone know what i'd expect to pay for a replacement steering wheel from the dealer?

Call your local dealer. Get their price and get the part number. Then go to www.gmpartsdirect.com , put the part number in and see how much cheaper it is. That's what I do on just about every GM part I need. They are WAY cheaper at gmpartsdirect.
