Re: need info on my truck

Gas price in Finland is 6,21 bucks per gallon. Last week we had around -30 degrees celsius. So big block would sip about 10 gallons every 100 miles. Therefore we HAVE TO drive Audi TDIs in winter. I can feel your pain...

Re: need info on my truck

Never heard anyone use sip to describe a BBC's fuel comsumption before .

The price really depends on the shape of the vehicle plus the location you live in. Around here this body style usually goes for between $800 for a rust bucket to $5,000 for a fairly nice one. But it changes from place to place. Do you have pics? That might help people give you a more accurate price range.

Re: need info on my truck

this is the only piture i got of it...this is a texas truck,,,the only rust in the truck is behind the right rear wheel, an the left cab cornor is starting to rust..has a little hail damage from somtimein its past..the only real mechanical problem is it needs the upper arm on the right..the tranny growls a little,,but it has done that since i bought it 4 or 5 yrs ago,,and i have put about 25 to 30k miles on it..i dont hotrod the the truck,,geared to low for that,,has the granny tranny, and 4:11's or 4:10's i forget which gmc has in it..it doesnt burn oil,,but does leak from about every where it can..i have a new gasket set for it,,,just havent gotton around to pulling the motor to put it in yet..i would not be afraid to drive it across country,,if i had the money for gas..lol
i put a clutch in it when i got the truck, winshield is new, and im keeping the stero for what ever i end up with next..right now i dont want to sell this one,,im hopeing the 68 i got will sell..i used this truck in my lawncare busssiness,,i used it,,but did not abuse it..

Re: need info on my truck

If it runs good like it sounds it does. And the body is in reasonable shape I'd say ask around $1500 - $2000 but hopefully you won't have to sell it. Good luck.
