glovebox emblem install?

got a new emblem for my '68 to put on the glove box door.mine didn't have one,or at least someone took it off at some time and filled in the mounting holes.does any one have a interior pic to show exact placement?also, if anyone has a 67 or 68,how is the studs on the emblem mounted to the gloove box door? the door itself is a double wall, outside skin and the inside is thicker.the emblem itself has two studs on it which tells me it's installed w/ jam nuts.how do you gain access to the inside of the door?the lower lip of the g.b. door has the full length hinge, is it under there? if i remember right the emblem goes along the bottom, right?thanks all!

I had some pictures on my webshots site but I can't bring it up now for some reason. I can take some measurements later if you want. If you don't have holes I'd use double-sided tape. I replaced mine a few years ago and couldn't get the original type fittings to work out. It's held up since then.

what is the location for the emblem on the glove box door?lower edge,to the right ,center..........etc.think i'll just have to grind off the studs on the back and go w/the tape

2 inches up from the highest point of the lip. 1 3/4" inches from the highest point of the lip on the right side to the widest point of the emblem on top. I used weatherstripping adhesive.

Thats the factory location. I had the holes in the glove box door and the old emblem was broken off and under the seat when I got the truck. Whoever owned this truck before didnt throw ANYTHING away!

Looking at that picture now I guess I should have cleaned it up a bit before I took the picture. Its got my 3 year old sons greasy paw prints all over it.

i think the factory emblem's used studs from off the back-side of 'em into holes in your glovebox door and secured 'em w/ jamnuts. i have no idea how you'd access the inner part of the door to run the jamnuts on though.guess i'll be usin' 2 sided tape.

I just took a "Custom" emblem off a glovebox door.

It had 3 studs on it bu t was onlt 'press fit" I used a screwdriver and gently pryed it off.
