Have you double checked fuses? Rotate the fuses, there could be a corrosion problem.
If the brake light switch doesnt have power on one terminal, you have a wiring problem from the fuse block (assuming the fuse is good) to the switch. Find out why you have no power to this switch! I would start with that circuit first, its the easiest to trace and could lead you the problem thats causing all of it. |

correction....
I have turn signals and there is power to the stoplight switch. I have checked all the fuses they are fine. I removed the fuse block to check behind it... looks ok. I removed the junction block on the firewall... no corrosion. I followed the white wire coming out of the stoplight switch up to the half circle connector behind the dash. this goes to the turn signal crap in the column... right? I'm getting a little frustrated... so I'm going to stop and pick up tomorrow. any ideas?

check all of your grounds . bad grounds can cause some pretty weird things to happen.

If the turn signal switch is bad, you could loose brake lights, tail lights and turn signals.
If you have a good switched power coming from the stop light switch, follow that as far as you can into the turn signal switch. Make sure there's power as far as you can check it. Next check the green and blue (I believe), these are your stop/turn signal wires coming out of the turn signal switch, do they have power when you press on the brake? If you know there's power going in and nothing coming out, the T/S switch is bad. |

Hey DD,
Had some of these same problems and replaced my turn signal mechanism. Fixed all my problems. When are you sending the thermo housing back? No hurry just wondering. Erl
