Does anyone know how much how much vacuum I would need for a stock power brake booster? What are some options that I can do if it is too low? Also, I am running my vacuum line from the back of the carb and directly to the power booster. Is there supposed to be anything in the line. Before last summer, it had something in the line. It was shaped like a fuel filter. Is it important? Thanks

You should run the vacuum line directly from the manifold. I T'd mine off the vacuum line to the tranny and it works fine. I think 14-15 inches of vacuum is what's needed to run power stuff properly. If you don't have enough, you can get a pump to to provide all teh vacuum you need or a storage canister/reservoir that should do fine. That filter keeps oil, gas, and other fluids out of your booster, supposedly prolonging booster life.
