Drag Strips
I HOPE NO ONE MINDS ME POSTING THIS QUESTION HERE...BUT HELL...YOU GUYS GOT ALL THE ANSWERS!
A BUDDY AND I WILL BE DOING A ROAD TRIP IN JANUARY. WE'LL MOST LIKELY BE HEADING FLORIDA WAY BUT CAN CHANGE OUR MINDS IN A HEARTBEAT. WE'D LIKE TO VISIT A COUPLE OF DRAG STRIPS IF POSSIBLE. DUE TO THE WEATHER THEY CLOSE PRETTY EARLY UP HERE AND I'M WONDERING IF THEY REMAIN OPEN ALL YEAR IN THE SOUTHERN STATES. IF SO, CAN YOU DIRECT ME TO SOME OF THE BETTER ONES? THANKS IN ADVANCE

THANKS SNIPER,
I CHECKED THEM OUT ON THE WEB TODAY BUT THEY DON'T REALLY TELL IF THEY'RE OPENED EVERY WEEKEND OR NOT. THEY JUST GIVE DATES FOR SPECIAL EVENTS ETC.

Probably going to have to get down to Florida to get in any good racing in Janurary. I usually go to Huntsville Dragway but I think test and tune is about it after the Turkey Trots at Thanksgiving. You can check them out at www.huntsvilledragway.com. Photo section is pretty cool. You like Pro Mods?

There is a strip just up the road from me in Holt, its about 30 min to the East of Pensacola. I'm not sure if they are open year round but here is the site. I could not get the schedule link to work but you can give them a call.

Every Friday night Baytown Raceway has $15.00 unlimited run nights. They are open all year round too. Baytown is on I-10 in east Texas close to Louisiana.
