Show Me Your Drop...
I am getting ready to order some drop coil for my truck. I am thinking about going with a 2/4 coils only. Anyone got a couple of pics they can post for me? And how about 3/5 or 4/6...stocks spindles. Thanks guys.

Re: Show Me Your Drop...
they both look pretty good...hard to decide. Wonder what would be more suitable with 18's front and back?

Re: Show Me Your Drop...
There is an excellent thread in the FAQ that has tire/wheel sizes along with amounts of drop listed. If your budget can handle 18" or 20" rims you should probably be shopping for a drop that's going to use a drop spindle (they don't add that much to the cost). Anyway my drop is all Early Classic, 2.5" drop spindle along with a 1" drop coil up front. Out back are 6" drop coils and a super track bar. Wheels are 17x8 front and 17x9.5 rear.

Re: Show Me Your Drop...
If I go with the drop spindles wouldn't I have to go with the whole disc conversion? That could get kinda expensive.

Re: Show Me Your Drop...
The Early Classic website does say disc are required in order to use their drop spindles. If you buy all new parts I could see it getting expensive but it always seems that someone has some used parts available for cheap. I would think with the added weight of 18" or 20" wheels that disc would be a logical step on your project. If you are just dead set on not buying spindles/discs I think I would look at using a 2" drop spring in the front.

Re: Show Me Your Drop...
Kevin why don't we just trade and I'll paint yours to be the low twin of my K10! That's what i wanted to do when I was looking for a 2wd but I couldn't find one worth buying that needed paint. I may still do it but the paint on the C10 just has way to much life in it to justify that kind of a change.

Re: Show Me Your Drop...
Thanks Mark, No the truck doesn't have a notch but sometimes I feel like it could use one. Mostly when I'm dropping off a speed bump or hitting a railroad track a little quick. 98% of the time there isn't a problem, it's just the other 2% that makes me want to cut it up.

Re: Show Me Your Drop...
So, Kevin, with Lewis Farbrication, What is your drop really? I have a 5/7 drop on mine w/ no air and it doesn't sit as low as yours, but I like how yours sits!
