Stock Dual Gas Tank Suburban??
The Suburban I bought a few weeks ago has the gas filler in the back by the marker light and then a door where the drivers side passenger door would be if it had one. On the inside the door panel is cut. Was this an option or did someone add this over the years? Right now you open the door and where the filler would be the hole is pluged. And there is nothing on the inside. Whats up with this?

It sounds like someone installed an under seat gas tank. I doubt very much if you could call it "factory". It would have been listed on the glovebox door if it was really factory. It could be a dealer item, custom made, or just ordered out of JC Whitney/similar catalog. I have yet to see an auxillary tank on a suburban that looks like it belongs there.

Heres a pic from the outside. I guess you are right maybe it went under the seat. I have been wondering where they would put another tank with out having a hole in the floor.
