Question a bit about rocker panel's ?

on my 67 shortbed I have put two new rocker panel's in and wondered about the seam where they go on ? in the past I have alway's filled and smoothed the seam but they were not like that from the factory my 67 had the original ones and they had a little seam sealer if that , I wonder how it would look to just grind the new weld's clean and apply some urethane caulk over the weld seam's then paint it rather than working them in all the way smooth ? anyone else done it like that ? going for the all stock theme anyway ?? anyone got pic's ??

Re: a bit about rocker panel's ?

Is this what you were looking for? I installed this rocker panel but never filed the joint smooth. I basically plug welded (with very poor welding skills) the rocker into place, but never filed the joint.
