What kind of AC
Anyone familiar with this kind of AC, and also should I leave it installed if I never plan on using it. I would like to clean up the engine bay and firewall.
Here's the option list, which doesn't include AC, so I don't think I would be messing up the originality of the truck. Thoughts?

Re: What kind of AC
It is an add-on AC. Is there a compressor under the hood. If you are not going to use it I would remove it. Save some weight that way also.

Re: What kind of AC
The compressor's not on right now. I've just rebuilt the engine and dropped it back in. I was considering not re-attaching the compressor for the weight reduction, HP gains, and also help keep the motor cooler by not having the condensor in front of the radiator. Lots of reasons to keep it off and only one to put it back on, value of keeping it original, but since it's not stock there's no real value in that, I suppose.

Re: What kind of AC
I've got one that looks very similar on my '69. AC systems are easy to fix once you understand a few basics.I'm going to fix mine before summer.Actually I could use it now-forecast for Monday = 90s.

Re: What kind of AC
Not really of question of being able to fix it; I'm sure I can do that. I just never run AC on anything, not even my newer vehicles. I would have taken it off a long time ago, but everyone told me how good it was to have it on there even if I didn't use it. But if it's an add on, I'm not too sure.
