Need a pic of part (14 year old nephew's 68')
I need a pic for my nephew's truck, not sure what this part is as my trucks are 72 with cable throttle.
PIC NEEDED: It is of some kind of Plastic bracket at the through point on the fire wall were the throttle linkage exits the cab. I haven't seen this part yet just explained to me by his dad my brother. As stated before this is a 250 I6 truck if it makes a difference. Also is this part avalible new or is it a search and find part. Any info will help. Thanks Jason. |

Thank you both so much. I would say that is it. If the three hole plastic piece mounts to the fire wall and they are the same I6 and V8 let me know. If so that ones still avaliable it looks like and I will get it for him off the board. RJ22

Yes That Is What You Are Looking For. It Bolts To The Fire Wall And Will Work For I6, Or V8.

Thanks again for the feed back. I just posted on wornbrakes parts thread for it. I might as well buy it for that price. RJ22
Now I can tell his dad, (my dad)grandpap, and uncle that I bought him his first replacement part. Build thread here we come.

Hey Jason, I want to leave you with a couple of links that should be really helpful during your teardown and buildup, since I've already done it on my '68 with the same configuration.
Here is a photo documentary of my first inline swap and some other inline mods: http://www.satellitehead.com/gallery/index.php?cat=7 Here is a gallery of pictures from my LS1 swap, which also shows removal of the inline 6 again, cleanup and various other crap: http://www.satellitehead.com/gallery/index.php?cat=3 You can just go to http://www.satellitehead.com/gallery/ to see all of the other truck buildup photos I have (steering replacement, stripping the cab, etc.) if you think they'll be handy. I don't always check this sub-forum, so if you have questions, you may want to PM me.
