battery /altornator

when my truck is done i will have a complete sound system with amps and subs, ans alkinds of other custom power (electric) options
is it possibel to use a 2nd battery with a seperate acc fuse block and an altornator on the other side just for that battery so i am not putting too much on the other battery and altornator ?
or is that just stupid ???

Battery Isolators:
Many people listen to their stereo without the engine running. This often leads to dead batteries and a vehicle that won't start. A battery isolator will let you completely discharge one battery without discharging the starting battery.
