Wave goodbye

Well I sold her today.. My 70 is going to a new owner. Still have my 72 Jimmy but i'll be a little sad.. And then happy when I don't have to make that insurance payment next month and my Silverado is paid off

In a round about way, yes. Not planning anything until after summer. Going to drive it more once I get the battery drain straightened out.

The money off the 70 and Superhawk will make me 100% debt free (sans mortgage) so I should be able to build up funds for a Jimmy build pretty quick

Sounds like you're on a plan. The wife and I are currently doing the "Financial Peace University" and are hammering on our debts. Can't wait until I'm debt free.

Krue, that is one of the toughest things for you to do in this day and time is
becoming debt free. This is why "GQ" isn't painted, we don't use our budget
on my toys, only what I can beg, borrow, sell, or make on the side is used

I did FPU through church.. I'm not much of a church goer but dad signed me up and suprised me with it. Needless to say I wasn't happy about it at the time but I'm 100% grateful now and would recommend it to anybody. I've really kept motivated with it and quit WASTING money. I did it last fall and it's going to take me less than a year to erase about 40K in debt (minus the house). It's going to be exciting ot see a paycheck stay in my bank account for once..

I don't blame you..

I'd love to have a paint booth of some sort though.. Dad and I painted his truck and had a blast doing it (at least I did). It's a lot of work but didn't turn out too bad for beginners

Pretty much same here. I have a little budgeted for "entertainment", but most of the truck comes from work or exchanges. It took me a long time to be in a decent financial shape.

Re: Wave goodbye

yep, im this close (pinching fingers together) to being debt free too.

i hit a bonus at work, which happened to be near the amount i owe on my 01 silverado. im only carrying monthly debt on 1 of my 8 credit cards, and when thats paid off, im in the clear.

the "debt free, or there-abouts" crew, represent!!

Re: Wave goodbye

I could never do that with my wife.I`d get out of the hole, help her with hers, and she`d keep spendin`.I gave up,she`s gone, just not the debt. But,once I pull through...control!!!!Something I never had with her.Over.

Enjoy the Jimmy this summer

Re: Wave goodbye

I don't know if I'll ever be debt free but all we owe on is a car and the house. The car will be paid for in the next 2 yrs and I really don't know when the house is gonna pay off. I make an extra payment on it every 2mos so it should pay off fairly early. I have just always tried to spend less than what I made. I have friends who say I'm tight with my money but they're the ones with the bills up to their eyeballs. So, anyway, get motivated and get that Jimmy on up to the NATS this year!
