Is it possible?

To put a engine in crooked? I know this sounds like a dumb question and it maybe just me BUT it looks to me that my engine is sitting slightly to the right just a tad. Is is possible to do this?

Re: Is it possible?

What would be a good way to measure it? When I say it looks crooked its almost like the dirvers side valve cover is off to the side just a little.

Re: Is it possible?

I agree they can go in there off center as stated just measure form points the same on both sides of the truck. Brake booster may just be thowing your eye off a bit though. Just a thought. RJ22

Re: Is it possible?

Its a 350. When you say from the a arms do you mean from one corner to another? What could I use as a reference point?

Ok I took another look and I see that on the passenger side tower bolt there is a slight gap but not on the drivers side. Here are the pics.

Re: Is it possible?

I had a few mins tonight so I had a look. I checked the area where the bellhousing meets the engine and there are no gaps. Everything is lined up. I think the truck being on a driveway and on a angle is throwing me off.

He meant for you to use the center of the trans shaft for your center point (back by the yoke) and measure to the frame, right and left,to see if the tail is centered. If your motor is crooked,it will project to the trans tailshaft even greater.
