I am trying to change manual steering to power steering but have a question as to dimple in frame does mine have this dimple?

Yes, that's quite a dimple there. You're good to go without any frame mods.

I've had two of these trucks and fortunately both have had power steering originally. I think the dimple they talk about is in the center of the 4 bolt holes that hold the gear on. On a power steering frame, the bolt holes stick out a little bit, the frame don't actually have a dimple but if you put a dimple it in the middle of the bolt holes it should have the same affect. If I'm not correct, someone else will chime in.

i believe all the trucks except for 67 and some early 68s had the dimple. Correct me if im wrong.

that's the one I was referring to, my 68 doesn't have that "dimple" or "raised pads" so I need to modify it to accept a newer steering box. I'll gather some pics of the box that I have and get back with you...

Don't remember where I saw it, but someone makes a plate that spaces the PS box far enought away from the frame to accomidate the "bulge" in the power steering box. It was either one piece that goes around the frame, or two pieces that sandwitches the frame.

I know some people have used spacers and others have welded a newer frame piece onto the old ones...
