Thermac flapper replacement availability?
Does anyone know if you can still buy the Thermac replacement flapper unit for your air cleaner? To avoid confusion, not the sensor inside the air cleaner, but the flapper unit on the snorkel you have to drill the spot welds out of to replace on your air cleaner. I would like to replace but, can't seem to find anywhere, parts stores that is, minus the junkyards.
A previous thread said it had been bought at NAPA, but unless I'm asking for the wrong thing, they don't carry. For reference, I am asking for the Thermac replacement when I go looking. Not the recognized part term now? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! |

Re: Thermac flapper replacement availability?
Hey, I just carried one of these air cleaner into a parts store and asked the same question. I was told to check "Pace Performance", I believe they have a web site but I haven't checked yet. They also told me the sensor is not available, is this true?

Re: Thermac flapper replacement availability?
I'll have to check "Pace Performance", haven't heard of them before. The sensor is still available. I just bought one 2 weeks ago at Advance Auto for $13.00. It's called a "Air Cleaner Temperature Sender". The part number is FE600.
Thanks for the lead, I'll let you know if the place you listed has the Thermac unit. |

Re: Thermac flapper replacement availability?
The napa part number on the sensor is CRB 22202. I'm kind new to the old truck scene, i'm more familiar with new stuff, but I work at a napa store, if you guys can post up a pic of what exactly you are looking for I will try to get some part #'s or something.
