Fender Seal Brackets

I needed fender seal brackets for my project. It seems the fender seal are readly available from several vendors but no one has the actual metal brackets. I was able to get one from a board member and I am reproducing them if anyone is interested. Here are some pictures of the brackets. There is a right side bracket and a left side bracket. If I get enought feedback from interested folks I wll start to make them in quanity. I expect that they would cost about $18.00 - $20.00 a set plus shipping. I quess if there is enough interest I will have to move to the Classified Section. Here's the pics plus a pic from the assembly manual showing where they are installed.

Re: Fender Seal Brackets

I don't know for sure if they were on 68's. I am pretty sure the fender seal may have only been on the higher model trucks. I know that the rubberized seals are available from most vendors. I would assume the cowl/door frame area where the brackets mount are the same on all 67-72's.

Re: Fender Seal Brackets

My 71 Cheyenne had them but not my 71 GMC. At any rate I would be interested in 2 sets when you reproduce them. I look forward to seeing them.

Re: Fender Seal Brackets

Great idea for a new product. As stated the rubber has been available but without the metal brackets it is worthless. I would also think these could be added to any 67-72 to help seal out air and dirt. I see them on about 1 out of 25 trucks at the junkyards - maybe not even that many. Don't know what year they started (thinking 1969) so may not be 100point original for 67/68 but a great addition for a DD.

Good luck 72swbcamo!!

I'll take two sets. Let me know when they are ready. I had heard these came only on the Cheyenne.
