Has anyone installed these Euro sidemarkers?

I saw these that GMCPauls has, they look cool! Does anyone have them one, and if so, can you post a pic?

Re: Has anyone installed these Euro sidemarkers?

I might get those clear ones, but I had a set of the split clear and they were awesome (also from GMCPauls).

Re: Has anyone installed these Euro sidemarkers?

I have the "clear" split style ( factory style ) and like those. You can now get the bulbs for the clear side markers in LED's at this link:
http://www.jamstrait.com/index.html
You can get the Amber 194 LED's at Autozone, they just don't carry them in Red so you have to order them on-line

Re: Has anyone installed these Euro sidemarkers?

Wouldn't it be cool if someone made the split style lenses with an LED strip that ran front to back on the top and bottom!

Re: Has anyone installed these Euro sidemarkers?

you know the side markers in my 68 don't have bulbs (or wires)? Are you adding them or did you make a newer truck with a 68 clip?

I think I remember someone saying that they weren't wired until late 68. Mine didn;t have them either, so I cut them off an old 71 harness tht I had and added them. You can buy the pigtails at almost any parts house too. Black to ground, and the other (brown on OEM, usualy white on aftermarket) to the brown wire (park lights) in the factory harness.

Re: Has anyone installed these Euro sidemarkers?

These lenses look kinda neat but it sounds strange putting something on my AMERICAN made truck named "Euro" I still like the deluxe style markers.

Re: Has anyone installed these Euro sidemarkers?

The colored ones actually make me think of the strobes on our fire trucks.

Re: Has anyone installed these Euro sidemarkers?

These are the ones I had on my old truck:

I will more than likely run them again, I liked the look.

Re: Has anyone installed these Euro sidemarkers?

In 68 and 69, the lights were optional on pickups, required on cab/chassis trucks if the daul rear wheels were optioned.
In 70, they were standard across the board.

Re: Has anyone installed these Euro sidemarkers?

I purchased the euro style side markers but the truck isn't together yet. I can
set the lights into the finished fenders and take a picture of it if this will help they are the colored ones and they look awesome. I'm thinking of adding LED bulbs to brighten them up more.
I believe GMCPAUL also has a picture of them installed.

Re: Has anyone installed these Euro sidemarkers?

LEDs would be a bad idea, they'll light up a small spot really bright.
