Gas Gauge repair

I know this has been posted at least a million times but I cannot find it anywhere. There was a thread about gas guage repair & what oms it should read & just general troubleshooting.If someone can link me to it I promise I will bookmark & save it for future generations to come.

I tried the resistor. It reads 3/4 tank when full(blazer tank with sidemarker fill)
