Re: Me and the 67 had a busy week!!!
John's truck REEEEEEEALY needs to be on a magazine cover! I've though that since I first saw it. Anyone one have any good truck magazine hookups? If there is a truck that is deserving of something like that, it is definately this one!

Re: Me and the 67 had a busy week!!!
I am going to goto our Pleasanton GoodGuys June get together as I am rent swap meet space to get rid of about two trucks worth of parts. I should bring the 67 as well, cause that might be my best chance to get it noticed...

Re: Me and the 67 had a busy week!!!
John,
Your truck is also one of my favorites. I'm not a fan of blue, but your truck make me want to do one of my trucks in blue... If you were to make everything that's blue on your truck and turn it red, That would be my dream truck... only difference would be CST emblem and red leather buddy buckets... tihs is my below listed "next project" dream truck...

Re: Me and the 67 had a busy week!!!
I like the suttle custom touches. It still has the flavor of the originals that are truck perfection. The mods serve to improve, not detract from that. Those flames are truly "ghost".

Re: Me and the 67 had a busy week!!!
Thanks for the comments!!!
To respond to a few... 67cst, I agree that with red paint and buddy buckets, AWSOME! I am trying to location a set of buddy buckets for my other 67 swb. TopDog, Did you notice my rare factory small window trim? Well, actually, I used a big window gasket and trim, and cut it all down to fit for the small window. C10, The inside of the cab is covered with a cloth material, and what you see the seam of the cloth to match the original seam. The cloth is the same cloth that we used for the insert on the bench seat. special-k, THANKS!! That is exactly the theme I wanted when building this truck. It to look stock to the untrained eye, but then to those that truly know theses trucks, the more you look at this one, the more things that pop out. The funny one is that the flames are so light, when people that know how to look at paint at first think there are flaws in the paint and then as they look closer, they realize that they are looking at true ghost flames... |

Re: Me and the 67 had a busy week!!!
Hey c10crazy,
It is one layer of cloth with no foam. I wanted a thin layer so that it brings out the factory relief on the roof of the cab. Does that make sense? |
