Instrument cluster
On my 1790 GMC instrument cluster there is what appears to be a chrome finish around the outer edge and around the guage openings. Is this just a chrome paint? What is the best way to bring it back to life.

 Old as it is (1790) Doubt there is much hope for it.

there is no cost effective way to do it, but you can get a replacement one for 35 or so bucks.

It`s not a paint.With repros so cheap,replacement`s the way to go.Before that,you could send them out and get them chromed,then you would redo the black paint or color on GMCs.

Guess i'll just have to suck it up and get a new one rather than figure out how it's made, new one up in Canada is $95.00. Thx for the input .
