Would a V8 in a 68 be listed on option sheet?
Interested in a 68 lwb which owner says is "original" 307. However it is not listed on the option sheet in the glove box, no engine is. I was under the impression that it would be a six unless noted otherwise.
Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks. Scott

Re: Would a V8 in a 68 be listed on option sheet?
307's were not listed on the option sheet that I have ever seen. Usually had to be a 327 or 396 in 68 to be an option.

look at the VIN... the 2nd digit will tell you if it is an inline truck, or a V-8 truck
E is V-8 S is inline Or... if a GMC... M is a V-6 truck |

I just looked at a 68 C-20 V-8 truck today, it had the 327 listed as an option.
